Visual protest discourses on aviation and climate change

Various solutions have been suggested for the large climate impact of aviation, some which would far-reaching consequences tourism. This study analyzes discourses protesters on this topic. Visual protest materials targeting aviation were photographed at three Swiss demonstrations in 2019 and analyzed using Sociology Knowledge Approach to Discourse. The criticize air travel its impact, assign responsibility travelling public, promote involving reduced demand. They omit offsetting technological solutions, thereby diverging from media industry. tourism industry should prepare possible changes patterns might occur if movement succeeds promoting views.
